This project is led by Professor Philippa Reed, head of the Materials Research Group in the School of Engineering Sciences at the University of Southampton.
Dr Tim Austin is the driving force behind making the Materials Data Centre a revolutionary tool for researchers, industry and educators.
Dr Kenji Takeda, co-Director of the Microsoft Institute for High Performance Computing at Southampton, is providing expertise on computational aspects of the project.
The project is funded by Joint Information Systems Committee (JISC) in the UK.
